Perhaps the most horrible car renting experience I've had. We had booked our car prior to picking it up and had PREPAID with debit card. Once we came to pick t up they are wouldn't let us pick it up due to a "debit card" policy which states that you have to have multiple requirements to rent a car if you were to pay with debit card. Nowhere online in booking said this. They forced me to cancel it and still charged me a $100 cancellation fee even though it was not my problem at all. I will never EVER even THINK about renting from here again.

the reception area was dirty and unkempt there reception desk clerk didn't sound like he'd been speaking English for more than six months if that just an overall unpleasant experience

I wish I could give 0 stars. If you say you are open at 8 someone should be there at 8. 1 star is far too many for a business that showed up a half hour after opening.

My car was not available although I had a reservation. Company called me once to let me know but I was on an airplane and they didn't leave a message. There was no replacement car available and my family and I were stranded for a while at Hertz.

When I've called this location, I've been rushed to hold and waited an excess of 10 minutes. My deposit has not been returned to me, the process of renting a vehicle from Hertz over-all, has been difficult and not as pleasant as other vehicle rental places. When I originally set up the rental I was told I would be picked up within an hour, I called after an hour and a half only to find out my information was not properly transferred for a pick up service, so no one would be coming to get me. I have attempted to call their corporate office, but they will not look my info up by my name as I don't have my rental info accessible at this time. When I asked for a supervisor, they put me in a queue with a 15 minute hold time. Do not use Hertz, unless like me, you have to for insurance purposes. I won't be using them again. **UPDATE** Here it is 2 weeks later, the West Valley location and the billing department still has not given me sufficient reason as to why my deposit has not been returned to me, I was told that this never came out of my account and it was just "pending" until I returned the vehicle, being that I have access to my account, I know this is untrue. I was told today by this location to call the billing department again, what a joke. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO!! I won't use any Hertz, ever again. I wish I could have used Enterprise!!
