I called about an animal locked inside a vehicle with all the windows up and they said it has to be 80° outside for them to respond. It's 60° as i type this and the owner is shopping. Who knows how long that will take and how hot it will get inside the car. Way to care about animals. I hope none of them have pets.
Could not find my car key thought I left it in my car called them they came out opened got to do my business for the day

The officer then said he didn't need to come over because they had caught the guy.. when I explained I had a butterfly/switch blade knife and a key that the prowler had dropped and asked what to do with it...he told me to just throw it away...because that's all they would do with it...??? Seriously!?!

the police never did end up coming or calling and I finally called again around 1PM they said they would have an officer call me
We had an intruder this morning in our yard who hopped our vinyl fence, and was running through ours & our neighbors yards...I called the police at 6:11 AM ....still waiting..it's now 7:54 AM..Im glad my husband was home....the prowler said that he was just cutting through the field behind us..and he kept telling my husband that he was sorry and was going to his moms house..he dropped a knife and a key in the neighbors driveway...guess the police are super busy??? Not very impressed...
I have lived here most of my life and o have to say every time I've delt with WVCPD they have been fair, and honest, I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you. #WVCPD
For some reason that doesn't sound right to me...my neighbor across the street has a son that is a SLC police officer and she is going to ask him if this is what other police departments do....im still just left feeling disappointed and unsafe...this is just one of many reasons exactly why I fought my husband on moving to West Valley...
