Run down old and tired. It sure need of a five lift! But the grass is is pretty good shape.
If you do Pokemon Go, it's also an excellent place to do it with two gyms, many Poke-stops & lots to catch in the area.
Huge park, lots of facilities, well maintained, good street access from both 5600 W & 3100 S. The West Valley fitness center & Acord ice rink is there too. Tons of parking, sports fields & open green spaces. Jogging paths, restrooms & playgrounds, even a very nice outdoor skateboarding park.
It's cheap to get in and so is the food. My daughter and I had a blast coming here.

There are cute murals of pirates by the northern playground, some great shade trees to sit under while the kids play, lots of play areas for sports, good sized parking lots, and decent bathrooms by the pavilions.
I love this place. We have silver and fit. Since we're retired it doesn't cost us to go. The park is great above beyond the recreation center. I take real good care of it.
The pavilion has a large grilling area and is located close to the 6 bathrooms (individual closet style with shared sink) for convenience, but there isn't really anywhere to change a baby's diaper except the grass.
